Are negative thoughts a part of living your best life?
It's ok to love yourself for who you are, and for who you want to be. The start to living your best life is accepting your past, living in the present, and loving yourself along the way.
While there are a few occasions where negativity can help you, can you really live your best life while being negative?
Failure. Success usually can't be had until you have failed a time or two. Trying, putting forth your best effort, and trying again. We did this as little children, when we were learning how to walk, talk, tie our shoes, learning to read and write. As children, we kept trying until we succeeded. Keeping that child like drive to succeed is vital to living the best life.
Bad things happening. I don't know about you, but, I have gotten through everything that's come my way so far. Think about your life, what you've been through already, you made it through. Living your life in fear of expecting something bad to happen is not going to help you live your best life.
No one likes me. While it's important to have real friends, accepting that not everyone will like you is important too. From actors to athletes, and everyone in between, even they have people that don't like them. Just surround yourself with the quality people that you can count on.
I can't trust anyone. I think everyone has been in that mindset once or twice, especially after a traumatic situation. Learning to walk away from liars, cheats, thieves, and fake friends and replacing them with real, true friends will help you get to your best life.
Wishing. Wishing to be smarter, prettier or wittier, everyone's been there. Learning that you are enough, just as you are can be difficult. It starts with accepting you for you. If you want to change something, change it, stop wishing, stop dwelling on it. I'll go back to that child like drive to succeed, not stopping until we've learned how to do it.
Be very careful about what you tell yourself, you will start to believe it. You wouldn't like it if a friend spoke to you the way you're speaking to you.
Fill your thoughts with the positives. Focus on the wins. Living your best life is 80% in the mind.
